Content Marketer/SEO Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Content Marketing & Link Building Expert to help us build high-quality backlinks and improve our search engine rankings organically—no paid backlinks. This role is for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in content outreach, digital PR, and strategic link-building. If you have experience securing backlinks through journalist outreach, HARO (Help A Reporter Out), content collaborations, and white-hat SEO strategies, this role is for you. You must have an in-depth understanding of Google’s SEO best practices, link-building strategies, and content-driven organic growth.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute outreach campaigns to build high-authority backlinks through content-driven strategies.
  • Utilise HARO, SourceBottle, and other journalist outreach platforms to secure links from credible sources.
  • Identify and connect with relevant webmasters, bloggers, journalists, and site owners to promote our content and earn links.
  • Develop and execute guest posting and content collaboration strategies that align with our brand.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing backlink profiles, identifying opportunities for link reclamation and improvement.
  • Work closely with our content team to ensure articles, infographics, and other linkable assets are optimized for link-building efforts.
  • Track and report on backlink growth, campaign performance, and SEO improvements.
  • Stay updated on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and link-building best practices

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in content outreach and organic link building (non-paid).
  • Proven track record of securing high-authority backlinks from reputable sources.
  • Strong experience using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Majestic, or SimilarWeb to analyze backlink opportunities.
  • Familiarity with HARO, Help a B2B Writer, SourceBottle, and other journalist outreach tools.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills—ability to pitch content to webmasters, journalists, and influencers effectively.
  • Solid knowledge of Google’s link-building guidelines, SEO best practices, and white-hat strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and show proof of past successful link-building campaigns.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Experience with email outreach automation tools (Pitchbox, BuzzStream, etc.).
  • Knowledge of internal linking strategies for content optimization.
  • Understanding of content marketing, digital PR, and viral content strategies.
